Well (assuming some overeager junk-mail filter didn't already toast this message due to "sale" in the subject line), here's the story.

I have a couple of items I'd like to part with. They're both highly useful, but just not to me. They are:

- A scanner (which can be seen at http://adamabrams.com/images/scanner.jpg), and
- A travel suitcase (visible at http://adamabrams.com/images/suitcase.jpg)

The scanner is a Canoscan 20 and is letter-size and 600 dpi. I paid $110 for it a year ago and now I'm willing to part with it for a mere $40. Such a deal!

In the interest of full disclosure (and because you're bound to ask anyway), the reason I'm no longer using it is that I never was quite able to get it working properly with my particular Mac. It worked, but my Mac would keep forgetting it was there, which didn't make for a very efficient scanning process.

However, I'm running OS X, which I suspect Canon hasn't quite figured out. If you're on a PC, or a Mac running system software prior to X (whoops, there goes the spam filter again), I'm confident you'll have better luck. Millions of non-X users can't be wrong. At any rate, both the Mac and PC install disks are included. And hey, if you're not completely satisfied, I'll gladly take it back. Oh, and I'll return your $40 too.

The second item I have is a travel suitcase - the standard, airline-ready version with wheels, pull-out handle, and lots of zippered compartments in which to forget your souvenirs. I"m willing to part with this baby for a mere $10.

REPLYING: I always feel that the "first reply gets it" system is a bit unfair since not everyone has equally speedy access to their email. So I'm going to experiment with a slightly different system here. Besides telling me which you're interested in, tell me how badly you want it, represented by a number from 1 to 100 (1 being "completely devil-may-care" and 100 being "the desire for this item consumes my very soul"). I'll wait till Wednesday. If more than one person responds by then, the most covetous gets it! Ties will be broken by random draw.
