Date: December 5th 2004
Hi All,

For those of you in the neighbourhood, I'll be assisting with this event tomorrow from 1-5 pm - hopefully some of you can come out and say hi. It's also a great chance to learn more about the work Vancouver Rape Relief does, and the many ways you can get involved.

If you can't attend, look for local events in your area - and see below for links to some thought-provoking articles.

Monday, December 6, 2004 Fifteenth Anniversary of the Montreal Massacre Central Branch of Vancouver Public Library 350 West Georgia Street 9:45 am - 8:00 pm On December 6, 1989, a lone gunman entered an engineering class at the ecole polytechnique in Montreal. He separated the men from the women, and told the men to leave. He declared that he hated feminists and opened fire on the women. He killed 14 of those women.

December 6 is now a national day of remembrance and action on violence against women.

Guest speakers and performers include:
The Honourable Iona Campagnolo, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia
