Quintessence Musical Theatre Project brings you an intimate experience,
pairing the passion and power of story and music with the sensual
delights of chocolate and wine. Quintessence alumnus and
local professionals Steve Maddock (Fantasticks) and Donya Metzger
(Assassins, Fantasticks) will be featuring musical theatre classics
past and present with musical director Scott Knight at the piano. Add
another dimension to your enchanted evening with Callebaut chocolate
by local chocolatier Charlie Sigvardsen of Charlie’s Chocolate
Factory and featured wines from Canada’s Jackson-Triggs.
Audiences will also be given a special sneak preview of Speaking
Of Love... Live with Dr. Grey Hartman from the producer of the
smash hit I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!
Enjoy the silent auction featuring fine foods, spa products and
services and the ultimate romantic getaway - accommodation and
meals at Poet’s Cove oceanfront resort and a seaplane straight
to the hotel’s dock courtesy Harbour Air. All proceeds from
the semi-formal evening will benefit Quintessence Musical Theatre
Project—producers of The Fantasticks and Assassins, both
listed by Peter Birnie in the Vancouver Sun among the 10 Best
Shows of the Year (2003, 2004). QMTP is an artist-driven
company dedicated to inspiring a renaissance in Musical Theatre
in Canada.
