Hi
there! It's been a long time since I've sent out a New's Letter
and a lot of you have been asking what's been going on. The short answer
- not a heck of a lot! But there's a bit more to it than that...
First up!
I took a break from pursuing jobs in the film/tv world. It wasn't by choice -
I was in a car accident at the end of November which left me car-less
and unable to do a lot of physical things required by my acting career.
Don't worry - nothing was broken, and I had a great physiotherapist
who worked on my injuries. Now it is just a matter
of time to heal
the rest. I'm doing SO much better and as of June went back to auditioning
(we're making sure to exclude any physically demanding roles for now
- no more gym commercials for a while, until I can safely work out
again, and stuff like that). Also, I won't be auditioning for
any theatre work yet, due to the demands of stage work and dancing,
but again,
all in good time. :)
Second up! It turns out I did make the final edit for the
Curves commercial we shot in October, and it's been airing since the
end of December! I don't think it's on all that much anymore, but thanks
to those who caught it and have sent me messages about it.

And
thirdly, despite everything, I've continued singing with VERVE
Collective, my a cappella quintet!
It was hard at first, as even sitting up straight was a
major strain on my neck and back. But it's gotten better,
and I couldn't imagine life without singing.
We've sang for some great private functions this year (including
a surprise engagement!), and now I'm excited to let you
know we'll be singing at a
very
public event... |
JULY
9th!
VERVE Collective will be ripping up the anthems at the
Vancouver Canadians vs Spokane
Indians
baseball game!
Game time is at 7:05 pm. Make sure to
arrive earlier to catch us singing some great arrangements of the anthems,
then sit back and enjoy the game. Join us at Nat Bailey Stadium!
