Boo! A Halloween update for VancouverMusicals.com

Hey there musical theatre fans! It’s time for another thrilling chapter of the VMTC email update.

Lots of new stuff on the calendar lately. Nothing that’s really on a Halloween theme though, I must admit – unless  you count the witches of WICKED, coming next June but already causing a big stir of excitement amongst the local musical-lovers. Man, people have been crazy about this show for years, I’ve sung a bunch of the songs as part of The Broadway Chorus and heard them in performances, cabaret nights etc. Some darn fine songs. But very few people have actually seen the show. Finally (though not till next June) we get our chance!

Right around the corner, we’ll see the opening of a couple of intriguing new shows, including one all-Canadian original, “Mimi, or a Poisoner’s Comedy”, and a 60′s Mad Men-era love story, “What About Luv”.

Mid-November brings us the fairy-tale inspired “The Secret in the Wings”.

Finally, late next month and mid-December, yours truly will be treading the boards in TWO, count ‘em, TWO shows!

First off, I’m Fievel the Fishmonger in Kol Halev’s original production of “Hanukkah in Chelm”.

A few weeks later I’ll be playing Mr. Manta Ray, part of an undersea love triangle, in The Broadway Chorus’ latest, “Sub Plots”. Yep, sub as in submarine, taking unsuspecting vacationers on a musical adventure of a lifetime. It’s underwater hilarity!

Here’s the full list of new shows added to the Calendar:
