Date: June 3rd 2005
Welcome to AdamAbrams.com!

I'm delighted to announce that a personal dream of mine has finally become a reality. My seemingly endless quest for a retro - yet practical - automobile finally came to a happy end in May, as I became the proud owner of a 1963 AMC Rambler! Just slip behind the wheel of this charming slice of auto history, and you're transported to a simpler time - when we lived in a three-channel universe, seat belts were strictly optional, and surfing was done on the beach, not a computer.

There's also another story - one that can only now be told. It's the amazing tale of a car that didn't go in reverse... which didn't stop me from driving it for a year and a half! Read the incredible tale: "Boldly Going Forward".

Look Inside!

Tour the Rambler and see its many unique features.

Scrapped!

A bittersweet farewell to my former wheels, now destined for scrap.

Oasis Car Wash!

Where to go for her first car wash? The one place as retro as she is!

Entertainment News

June will be a big month for musical theatre - I'm appearing in not one, but TWO great shows: another Applause! Musicals production, and the annual Broadway Chorus revue!

On The Town

Applause! Musicals presents "On the Town", a show that follows the amorous adventures of three sailors on a 24-hour leave in New York City during World War II. Determined to see the whole town in a single day, the trio sings and dances its way through the city that never sleeps. This fast-paced, high-spirited musical comedy bubbles with youthful exuberance!

I'm in the chorus - and look for me in three "bit parts" as a construction worker, a handbill poster, and a cop!

ON THE TOWN will be presented on June 22, 24, and 26 at 7pm, and June 25 at 2pm, at the Roundhouse Community Centre. For tickets, call (604) 734-0904 or book online at www.applausemusicals.com!

One Day, One Life

The Broadway Chorus is thrilled to present this song-and-dance musical revue in two acts.

In the hilarious first act (One Day) we visit the world’s most dysfunctional office, where working girls vie for promotions, knowing “When You’ve Got It, Flaunt It,” while the down-trodden men insist “I Want to Be a Producer.” Almost everyone agrees “I Wish I Could Go Back to College,” or at the very least, return “Home.” Fantasy and reality collide in this hilarious send-up of the work environment.

In the moving second act (One Life) the Chorus performs songs from every stage of life, from birth to death (and beyond!) We’ll grow up (“Hello Twelve, Hello Thirteen”), fall in love (“I Can Hear the Bells”), raise children (“Stop Time”), and ultimately realize “What a Wonderful Way to Die!”.

One Day / One Life runs Thursday, June 30th to Saturday, July 2nd at the Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island, with a discounted preview on June 29th. Showtime is 8:00pm. Tickets booked in advance are 16 for adults, $11 for seniors and students, and $11 for children 12 and under, and are $1 more at the door for unreserved tickets. For tickets, either e-mail ashley@PROTECTED or call (778) 322-7182.
