“SING CITY” – Fun New Vancouver Choir Needs YOU!

Want to sing in a group, but not in a "choir"? Join "Sing City"! Sing Pop, Broadway, Light Jazz, Blues, Gospel in a very fun & low pressure atmosphere. Regular performances. No experience necessary. Downtown West End location with nearby parking.

Men and women are welcome but men are especially needed!

Rehearsals start Tuesday, Sept. 18, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Limited space available so register early!

Sing-Along Carmina Burana

All local choirs, choruses and their members are invited to participate in a unique musical event: Canada's first-ever sing-along version of Carl Orff's famous cantata, Carmina Burana.

The event takes place on October 26, 2007, at 8:00 pm at St Andrew's-Wesley Church at Burrard an Nelson in downtown Vancouver. That night, a thousand people will be able to fulfill a great fantasy: singing the choral part in Orff's 20th century masterpiece. It will be presented in the chamber version, with two pianos, three soloists, and four percussionists playing 15 instruments.

The entire event is a benefit for City Opera Vancouver, a new professional chamber opera company that will be resident at the restored Pantages Theatre. Visit their website for full details and to order your ticket!
