Even if you don't know it by name, it's likely that you know "Carmina Burana".
If you go to movies or watch TV, you've heard it. Its ominous vocal introduction has lent drama to countless films, trailers, and ads. Visit this link to hear what I mean:

Now, next Friday, October 26th, you have a chance to see and hear this electrifying classical piece performed live in downtown Vancouver.
And what's more, if you so choose... you can sing along!
Canada's first-ever "Sing-Along Carmina Burana" promises to be a FUN and memorable event. And it's not only for singers - listeners are welcome!
And make no mistake, this event is not for classical music snobs (though they are welcome too) - with an audience-full of choral singers and music lovers of all skill levels, as well as non-singing audience members, this will be a rambunctious and laughter-filled evening with rich musical rewards for all.
And the ticket price - a mere $20 for all seats - makes this exciting performance very accessible.
So come out next Friday, October 26 to sing, or just to feel the walls move! Tickets can be purchased in advance through the City Opera Vancouver website:
http://www.cityoperavancouver.com
There you'll also find much more information about the concert, the music, and City Opera, the new chamber opera company which is producing the event.
I'm producer of the event - very busy coordinating logistics, preparing advertising and signage, and many other tasks. I also am doing my part to ensure that it's a rousing success. I will be there on the 26th and I hope to see YOU there too!
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.
Many thanks!
