Hi everybody!
For the third year running, I'm attempting to bring a little "something extra" to my sidewalk fundraising for Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter in December: getting a group together to sing holiday carols
I first tried this in 2005 with members of The Broadway Chorus, and it was great fun and very successful Then last year we had an even bigger group A jolly time was had by all, and a record amount was raised for Vancouver Rape Relief, which operates a safe house for women escaping violence as well as a 24-hour crisis line
This year for some reason everyone seems to be pretty tied up, but I'm still hopeful I can assemble a good-sized group so I'm putting the word out to everyone!
I'll be at Georgia and Granville from 10am to 4:30pm - BUT you don't need to be there that long! Heavens no Just come by for a half hour, an hour - whatever you can spare I and a Rape Relief volunteer will wield tin cans and take donations from the passing throng; everyone else can simply sing their little hearts out (Lyric sheets will be provided )
If you can help with the vocal cheer, please let me know by Friday, as well as roughly what time you can make it so I know when to expect you I'm still hopeful I can round up a good critical mass of carolers and make this third annual "Musical Tin Can" a success
Many thanks, and have a happy holiday season!
Adam
