“We want to give our long-time supporters a chance to get the best seats at the best prices,” City Opera president Nora Kelly said.

“We believe that Pauline will sell out all five nights.
Early sales allow us to plan for a sixth, if sales justify,”
Kelly added.

Early Bird prices are valid from 17 February to 1 April 2014. Regular prices take effect on 2 April.

Starring Rose-Ellen Nichols as Pauline Johnson. Sarah Vardy as Eva Johnson. Ken Lavigne as the tenor.

Also starring John MinĂ¡gro, Edward Moran, Eleonora Higginson, Diane Speirs and Cathleen Gingrich.

Pauline is a new chamber opera, set at Vancouver in March 1913. Pauline Johnson, the famous poet and popular entertainer, is dying. Haunted by failure, torn by her dual identity as both Mohawk and white, she fights to confront her past before the end, as her doctor tries to control the pain and her sister tries to control the story that will be told.
