Monica Lee Monica Lee has been playing music in East Vancouver since 1998 when she released her first live record. During a 15-year residency at the Libra Room Monica and her band nurtured a sound of comfort and belonging. Transformative and challenging, the songs journey through life’s burdens and celebrations. After a wee hyatus from the stage Monica is back with her long standing band of Jesse Waldman on guitar, Michael Simpsonelli on drums, Beth Marie Southwell on backup vocals and new on stand up bass Steven Huston.

The evening showcases songs from their 1974 recording Elis & Tom, considered a Brazilian masterpiece.
