Adam's Update: Bad Movie Night / New Max Pics / more

April 1st 2011 PDT

Bad Movie Night: Saturday April 9 Legendary Hollywood Flops on the Big (Home) Screen! There’s been several movies on my “video wish list” to catch up with someday – movies from the 70′s/80′s that are known mainly for being big-budget failures. I speak of the likes of “Ishtar” or “1941″, or “The Last Action Hero”. Some have been redeemed by the passage of time and gained a cult following. Some may have just been misguided from the start. But I wanted to judge for myself. On Saturday, April 9, I’m finally going to do ju ...Continue Reading

Following is a quick summary of the situation, and an even quicker list of things that can be done – that must be done – NOW. Announcing Max Wilfred Abrams!

February 9th 2011 PDT

Max Wilfred Abrams! On Wednesday, January 26, at 10:08 am, after two extra weeks’ preparation, Max Wilfred Abrams made his grand entrance in the world! At a leggy 22″ and a sturdy 9 lbs. 3 oz., he made quite the impression. And as you can see, he’s already proving himself to be the little man of 1,000 faces. Christine and I are overjoyed at Max’s arrival, adapting pretty well to our new roles as “Mom and Dad”, and just plain grateful for our precious gift of this beautiful boy. (For some more pics of Max’s first week, ...Continue Reading

Baby's coming... and we're looking for a snowbird

November 30th 2010 PDT

Hi all! Well, our baby is on the way - due Jan. 14 - and Christine's mom and dad plan to spend the whole month of January here so her Mom can assist. But they need a place to stay. They're looking at hotels of course, but we're wondering if anyone knows a Snowbird who'll be away in January and is open to renting their place to a couple of very responsible Alberta seniors. The only request from our end is that it be somewhere in Vancouver, and ideally not too far from the 12th and Oak area. They're not expecting an ...Continue Reading

Latest news for November 24th, 2010 Over the next few weeks, I’m involved in two opening nights, and the premiere of my own short film! First up is the fun musical folk tale, “Hanukkah in Chelm” (in which I play Fievel, the fishmonger). In mid-December, it’s musical hilarity from The Broadway Chorus with “Sub Plots“. Finally, and the event I’m most proud of, it’s the premiere of a short documentary video I’ve completed about the men (like myself) who support Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter. Read on for the d ...Continue Reading
